Ancilliary text - poster - textual analysis 01

This very convention poster is a typical 4-Sheet.
It is dominated by the main image which is an extreme close up of oen of the zombies from the film (evident by the demonic, red eye), and the fact that the film is handheld camera is shown by the degraded image quality (such as the scan lines on the image).

the headline is, like the logo for the first film on the website analysis, next to a red dot which is similar to a recording light on a camera, which implies the idea that the film is real footage, filmed with a hand held camera.

the tagline is placed at the bottom of the main image, which is conventional for film posters.

The bottom of the poster is devoted to the small text which gives institutional information about the film, such as the director, actors, actresses and production companies.

which I plan on making a billboard sized poster, this poster is useful because it provides an example of how the conventions of the horror mockumentary genre are applied to the posters, and how i can use colour and image manipulation techniques to present the themes from my film, such as the horror, or the realism.

the audience of the film would be interested as the tagline is a question, therefore drawing them in to the text and engaging with them, and the fact that the film is a sequel means that fans of the original film would be interested to watch it.
