Ancilliary texts - Computer drafts and development

These are early drafts and digital mock-ups of the layout of my ancillary texts. As you can see by the top image, i started out with a template for the billboard poster, and experimented with 2 different screenshots acting as the main image. In the end I decide that the 2nd one was more effective as the image for the poster, due to the harsh lighting with heavy chiaroscuro which adds to the horror-feeling of the image.

The text in the first two images has also been moved in the later draft, as I felt that the film logo didn't look right and seemed off-centre which would have distracted audiences from taking in the information on the poster.

The final draft also includes the institutional information which is a convention of most film poster which i decided to utilise in mine.

I created these images on Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop CS5, and saved them as a .JPeg file to allow them to be used on both pieces of software.
